ELIZABETH GARLINGTON ~ Artist. Designer. Quilter.

BIOGRAPHY

Elizabeth Ann Garlington earned a B.S. Ed. in Art Education from the University of Georgia and a Master’s degree from Georgia State University. Elizabeth pursued further graduate education at Vanderbilt Divinity School and Appalachian State University in the areas of Theology and Expressive Arts Therapy. She has taught visual art, gifted and special education.

In 1998 Elizabeth entered her first juried art exhibit and won an award for her art quilting. That was the start of her over twenty year journey as a professional quilt artist. Since 2008 Elizabeth has been a member of the prestigious Southern Highland Craft Guild in the medium of fiber.

Elizabeth lives and works in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina.
