I Embrace Improvisation!

This highly textured fabric collage began with a base layer of organic muslin. Machine piecing, appliqué, and hand embroidery were used to create a quilted canvas. My many-colored threads and fabrics are akin to colored pencils tubes of paint. I embrace the gestural energy of free motion quilting, and straight-stitch embroidery to develop my collaged fabric compositions.
